Why LGBT sometimes make me laugh

Ellen DeGeneres in 2009.

Image via Wikipedia

I was recently surfing People Magazine .com, and I came through some celebrity photos, among which was Ellen DeGeneres and her “wife”. I’ll get to the point.

I then googled Ellen DeGeneres and her wife’s pictures, for some of those images where I didn’t look closely at, I had mistaken Ellen for a man. Probably because of her man-ish outfits.

What goes through my mind is the following:

1.Does she consider herself a male or a female?

2.Consequently,what is written in her Gender Criteria in her ID or passport?

3.Will she be offended if people relate to her as a man not a woman?

4.Does she have a mind-set of a man? Is she interested in what men find interesting? For example,Cars, football,WWE,porn, naked chicks and beer?

I’ve got more questions, but instead of boring you I’m not gonna write them.

If a lesbian woman wants to play out the role of  a male, doesn’t she feel stupid going to the men’s department to buy shirts and pants? Or maybe they go for Uni-sex outfits but still, how can she relate to herself ? Will she be offended if someone calls her chubby or fat like how normal women react or what?

It’s extremely confusing for me.The main question is,How do these people claim that what they’re doing “feels right”, and coming out of their closet was the best thing they’ve ever done, coming to terms with who they are and all that crap!

Worse yet, people congratulate them for coming out!

Who you are is what God intended you to be. If God created you with 2 ovaries and a uterus, you are a female. You’ll think, feel and behave differently from males. You’ll find that love occupies like 80% of your mind, you’ll always focus on details, you’ll have hormonal imbalances every month, you may find yourself complaining that your partner is emotionally unavailable, you find yourself interested in matters of the heart and emotions….the list of differences is endless. Take a look at this http://www.mastersofhealthcare.com/blog/2009/10-big-differences-between-mens-and-womens-brains/

The same thing applies for gay men too.

As for bisexuals,I’m not really sure what to say or feel about them, I might just say: pick a lane! how can you be interested in both men and women, can you relate to yourself as a man or as a woman or a new kind of species that you’ve invented?

Why can’t people accept who they are and how God intended them to be? I find that the true meaning of acceptance is not really there, some claim that acceptance can be translated into the acceptance of others ,even if they’re different, even if you don’t agree with their cause or belief. Another angle,You can accept who you are and just live with it,and spare yourself ,and us,consequently ,that dilemma.

I completely agree with accepting others even if they have  a different faith, different nationality or any other kind of  differences that you can imagine, except for homosexuality.I find it a sin, not  a virtue that you  can be praised for.

As for the transexuals,I find it kind of funny actually, the way a well built man changes his gender to become a woman, wearing make-up and a sleevless dress can be a good comic picture,it looks odd and stupid. Like who the hell are you, should I call you a Mr or a Miss or what??

Or a full grown woman with a voice of a 14 year old teenager with a few hairs on the face?! This is a mad world people, the end is near!

    Hi,

I just by happenstance came across your post. Believe me when I tell you the fascination (from the other side is mutual). As a gay man and an activist for “LGBT” equality it amazes and fascinates me to get a peek into the mind of a bigot. I’m African American, too. While I can’t speak for other African Americans, bigotry in all its forms has always been a subject of fascination on my behalf.

The thing I love about bigots the most in terms of their iron-clad thinking surrounding identity and sexuality is that many of them, like yourself, buy into this absoluteness of mankind having evolved to its highest already. You know, like say the absence of certain technology and things 50 years ago. Who’d believe 50 years ago that people would be able to communicate with phones that don’t have cords attached to them, yea, stuff like that.

Bigots seem to think that the human species is not subject to an evolution in this respect. They thought it with the end of slavery. They thought it with right for women to vote. They thought it in the South and Jim Crow laws. They thought it in regards to interracial marriage. And they’re thinking it now with sexuality and identity.

And that’s because bigots have no point of reference other than their own concept of “normal.” So to some degree it’s understandable that they find anything outside of that strange, offensive and threatening. And the march of time continues on regardless of what they think. Personally I love how humanity makes a liar time and time again out of such limited thinking. It’s the way of the universe. Truly the way of God.

Thanks again for the post. In some strange way it made my day.

    Best,
    Derrick:)

      Hi Derrick
I’m also fascinated by the fact that you took the liberty of name-calling me a bigot! It doesn’t offend me, but maybe I did not illustrate my point that well.
To me,actions in general should always have a reference.Meaning that, when you say you have the freedom to choose your sexual orientation, on what basis do you say its rightful? Human rights maybe? Using this reasoning, other human beings have the right to express themselves and condemn what they believe is wrong.
If you visit this website http://www.catholiceducation.org/articles/homosexuality/ho0088.html,you'll find lots of health risks that could result from homosexual relationships,on top of which,AIDS and anal cancer. Am not an MD, but I don’t think God created the anus for such usage, its function is known to all human beings, maybe widening it by gay intercourse causes lots of health issues. So to me it doesn’t seem “normal” it seems “odd and irregular” Consequently,I’m basing my refusal on homosexuality upon the reference of Health concerns, and religion.(Notice that the URL of the website is catholic education) what do you make of that? other faiths condemn homosexuality, like Islam, also for the same reasons mentioned above (health risks). So if you do believe in the presence of God,you won’t find my words that crazy or odd. Do some research on the aspect if you want to double check .You judged me and said I’m a bigot, which isn’t the truth. I do believe in the accepting others even if they have a different faith or any other kind of difference that you can imagine, except for homosexuality, which to me doesn’t lie under the category of ” normal or acceptable”. But it fascinates me that you don’t have enough tolerance to accept the fact that someone opposes what you’re doing.

I like to think of homosexuals as a cult like the hippies and communists. They both firmly believed in their causes and actions. But it was phase back then and maybe it will never return again.(Especially after the breakdown of the Soviet Union, they witnessed the collapse of this huge empire along with its principles,if they were rightious principles, they would have remained till this day).

And I don’t think that what homosexuals claim to be their right to come out is a part of the human evolution. To me its some sort of deviation of behavior. It has nothing to do with making the world a better place and improving the lives of people like the end of slavery, women’s right to vote and so on. Because again, these above mentioned principles do not include any health risks. I mean mental or physical risks that result from homosexual behavior. According to catholic eduation.org quoted from Dr.Fitzgibbons:
“Compared to controls who had no homosexual experience in the 12 months prior to the interviews, males who had any homosexual contact within that time period were much more likely to experience major depression, bipolar disorder, panic disorder, agoraphobia and obsessive compulsive disorder. Females with any homosexual contact within the previous 12 months were more often diagnosed with major depression, social phobia or alcohol dependence.”

Concerning the questions I wrote in the post,I would very much like it if you can answer them. Curious to know what goes on in the mind-set of a homosexual 🙂

Happy to have made your day in some strange way, thanks for stepping by:)

I will keep this brief, and let Derrick respond for himself. But are you aware that there are more heterosexuals with HIV/AIDS than homosexuals? Also, are you aware that heterosexual vaginal intercourse can also lead to cancer? Just thought you should know that.

    Peace
    John

Alrighty then. I’m always game for a delicious debate. Let’s start with:

    1. Meaning that, when you say you have the freedom to choose your sexual orientation, on what basis do you say its rightful?

Let me ask you something, did you “choose” to be straight? And that’s a serious question and please answer it “HONESTLY. Again, did you one day sit down and think about which is it you prefer men or women? And from that think session did you then choose men over women even though you could work sexually with both?

Because that’s the definition of choice. CHOOSING is the act of picking one thing over another. A conscious act. In choosing you like one thing over the other thing. The other thing you may like it but decide not to choose it. Or, you simply may not like the other thing at all.

In that case, you’re not making a choice. You are going with that to which you are naturally inclined.

    2. The practice of anal sex is quite widespread in the heterosexual realm. A good portion of heterosexual pornography aimed at heterosexual men typically showcase men inserting their penises in a woman’s anus.

Clearly that’s not your experience as of yet. But I’m thinking those many women who are fans of anal sex will be more than happy to tell you that you shouldn’t knock something until you’ve tried it. That’s coming purely from a heterosexual perspective.

All heterosexuals do not indulge in anal sex. You demonstrate this with your own narrow view of the heterosexual practice of anal sex. All gays do not indulge in anal sex. I don’t. Why? Don’t like it. Tried it. Doesn’t work for me. But I know PLENTY of heterosexual women who can’t live without it. Even it means using a dildo to simulate that of a man’s penis. I also know of heterosexual men who like their women to use strap-ons or dildos to penetrate these men. They’re not gay. But the appreciate the erotic pleasures of anal stimulation. As someone who doesn’t who I am to judge? I don’t need to do that. It’s none of my business what heterosexual men do in their bedrooms.

Why do you need to judge? And why the belief that only gay men in engage in anal sex? Where did that come from? And now that you know heterosexual people do, what are your thoughts? You judge them, too?
So tell me, when did YOU CHOOSE and why?

As far as any homosexual social maladjustments, you’re living proof as to why that very well could be in some sectors of societies around the world. Anyone would be depressed and suffer all kinds of emotional and mental maladies living in an environment where people like yourself with sexual double standards and what not are in the majority.

Depression is huge among many ethnic minorities in the nation. There’s a reason for that. Oppression maybe? Race based discrimination, perhaps?

That’s why gays are fighting for equal rights. For the very reason why so many of us have been depressed and unhappy—-people like you uphold such an environment. And it doesn’t have to be that way. We are our own solution to happiness and healthy mental and emotional lives.

Biblical references to the bible: No, actually it’s you who need to do some research. Oh, there’s been plenty on our end. And we’re clear about the biblical truth. And in bringing up the bible, as I shared earlier I’m African American.

There was a time that the bible was used to enforce slavery. Just like it was used to keep women from voting. Oh, you do cover your head at all times in public right? And you do stay inside and hidden from public view during your menstrual cycle I’m assuming, right? Because that’s what the bible says women must do—-along with sharing your husband with as many wives as he’s chosen.

So yea, let’s talk about the bible. Here’s the thing: The supposed Christian bigot does this thing called “cherry picking.” That’s how slavery was endorsed by the bible. Christian bigots cherry pick whatever it is in the bible that supports their own bigotry, while ignoring the thousands of rules the bible commands in relationship to their own lives.

It’s hands down the worst of the worst hypocrisy. So sad that you abuse the biblical word to endorse yours. And you are a bigot. That’s not name calling. That’s what you’re being. No insult intended. I checked the dictionary for the meaning of the word and your words and attitudes fit the definition to a letter. It’s not my fault if this is what Webster’s dictionary defined your beliefs as. I have nothing to do with that.

    Looking forward to your thoughts.

    Best,
    Derrick

      Hey Derrick

      1. Yes,I chose to be straight, because I didn’t see myself otherwise. I did think about it a lot. Something I don’t want to experience. It’s a choice as I see it.

2.Yes,anal sex is also common among heterosexuals.I don’t care about the fact that some women do enjoy,or not. This isn’t the subject. Knowing the fact that anal intercourse raises some health issues among gays, then maybe… it will cause these same problems among women who practice anal sex too. Again,am not an MD. Am just saying women who practice it may be susceptible to the same harms as gays. I might think its kind of odd or kinky, but I won’t blog about it.Doesn’t raise my interest that much.

3.Concerning depression and social maladjustment, sure as hell everyone can experience that.Did you ever think why homosexuals are severely critisized in other nations? Because lots of people like my self that you call bigots, refuse to have such deviant odd behavior among them. When the universe was first created Adam and Eve were created as everybody knows. Why weren’t they created as 2 males or 2 females? God intended the unity for men and women in the form of a family, for the human race to continue. That’s the standard,so that means man to man relationships are not normal and are deviant.

4.As for the bible issue,I refuse your claims that I am abusing the biblical words to endorse mine. Where did that come from? When I need to support my argument,I’ll do whatever I can to do so. Using some words from the bible won’t hurt, its called support. Especially when I did not come up with these support arguments on my own,I used a source. Whether you agree or disagree with it its your thing. But judging that I “abused” is way out of line. The second thing is,I’m in the process of learning more about the bible, and I firmly believe that God created Judaism,Christianity and Islam.I strictly believe that there is no God -created religion that can ever endorse slavery or say that women cannot vote! Because these religions were sent to organize the relationships among people and make the world a better place as possible, while setting the standards of good and bad behaviors for others to use a as a reference.

Finally,If the definition of a bigot is a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion, then you’re a bigot too. You strongly agree with your belief and (as I see it I might be wrong) refuse my reasoning. Anyways,That was an interesting debate indeed.
